Just Plain Ben

'Just Plain Ben' is a short-form documentary on successful Hastings based landscape artist Ben Fenton. It's filmed in and around Hasting's, Pett Level, Dungeness, and Winchelsea Beach. The film talks about mental illness, and how it informs Ben's work, and how painting has become his therapy. Ben and I vehemently believe that the enduring stigma that surrounds metal illness is the biggest barrier to sufferers seeking, and receiving effective help, and that is ultimately costing lives.

The film had a fantastic turnout at it's premiere at The Printworks, Hastings, and will be offline whilst it is entered into the festival circuit, with the hope that it will be online by Summer 2021.

For now, here is a short teaser from the film.
